Home & Estate Clean-Out Coordination in Boston & the South Shore

Estate Clean-Outs

Clearing a Home With Care

Clearing a home is rarely just about removing things. It means deciding what stays, what goes to family, what can be donated or sold, and what needs to be removed. D&M Faithful Home Transformation does the hands-on sorting and organizing, and coordinates the outside professionals your project needs.

We are an organizing company. We don’t perform estate valuations, run estate sales, provide legal estate administration or operate as a large-scale junk removal company. We work alongside estate sale companies and junk removal providers so each part of the job is handled by the right people.

Who We Help

  • Families clearing a longtime family home or managing a loved one’s estate.
  • Adult children managing a parent’s belongings, including those coordinating from out of town.
  • Executors or authorized estate representatives.
  • Realtors preparing properties for sale.
  • Homeowners preparing a property for a move or sale.

What We Do

Sorting Belongings

We work through bedrooms, closets, basements, garages and storage areas, grouping belongings into categories so you can see what is there and decide what happens next.

Identifying Items to Keep or Pass Along

We set aside photographs, papers, keepsakes and items intended for family members, label them, and keep them separate from everything else.

Preparing Donations

We sort and prepare usable items in good condition for donation. When appropriate, we can also make small car-sized drop-offs at local donation centers.

Organizing What Remains

If belongings are staying in the home, we organize them into practical, usable spaces.

Coordinating With Estate Sale and Junk Removal Companies

Many estate cleanout projects need more than one kind of help. We coordinate the agreed services so the project stays organized from start to finish. Outside provider fees are separate from ours, and larger or more complex clean-outs may require a custom quote.

  • Estate sale companies handle valuations and sales. We help organize and separate items for their review.
  • Junk removal companies handle larger removals and disposal. We help prepare items and coordinate timing.
  • Movers handle transportation for belongings going to another residence. We pack and prepare those items.

Estate Clean-Outs With Patience and Respect

Sorting a loved one’s belongings often happens alongside grief and family responsibilities. We approach this work patiently and never rush personal decisions.

Before we begin, we confirm who is directing the project and which decisions need family input. Items still awaiting a decision stay separate from those approved for donation, sale or removal. Estate administration and legal decisions remain with the responsible parties.

How the Process Works

  1. Discuss priorities and responsibilities. We start with an in-home consultation ($75 for one hour, credited toward your booked organizing session).
  2. Sort into clear categories: keep, family, donate, sell or remove.
  3. Confirm destinations with you or the person directing the project.
  4. Coordinate providers for estate sales, removal or moving.
  5. Organize what remains in the home.

Questions About Clean-Out Coordination

Do you haul everything away?

No. We sort, organize and coordinate. Junk removal companies handle larger removals and disposal. We may handle smaller, car-sized donation drop-offs when appropriate.

Can you arrange an estate sale?

We coordinate with estate sale companies and prepare items for their review. They handle valuations and sales.

Who decides what is kept or removed?

You or the person authorized to direct the project. We carry out the agreed decisions.

Does a clean-out include cleaning?

We are not a cleaning company. We may do light cleaning in the areas we’re organizing, but housekeeping and deep cleaning are not included.

Can family members participate?

Yes. We can plan who reviews which belongings and how decisions are shared.
